Blue Wave Pure Bay 2000

I am considering getting a Blue Wave Pure Bay 2000 and was hoping some could share their thoughts on that boat. Also, anyone have any experience with this model with the 150 powering it

I have one of these boats and its been good for me. I have the Suzuki 150SS on mine and it pushes the boat fine. Its great on gas too. I have a 4 blade Power Tech prop on mine for the holeshot and midrange performance it provides. The boat fully loaded will do about 51. I normally cruise about 40. Plenty of storage. Blue Wave's wiring leaves a little to desire but overall im very happy with the boat.

Thanks for the reply, how does the boat do in rough water. I'm coming from a 17ft boat and was wondering if I would see a drastic difference in the chop

You won't regret the 2200 if it's an option.
I have the 2200 with a Suzuki 175 and I couldn't be happier. Anybody will tell you that their boat is dry and I can only compare it to the same size Kenner hull - Blue Wave is heavier so it does much better in chop - and my previous 19' Bay Stealth - Blue Wave is far better, but these are different boats. Build quality and usability are tops with Blue Wave. You will be pleased.

OP - should be a good boat. get a 200hp if possible, if not get a 175hp haha never regret having a little extra with the 20' about 200lbs lighter than the 2200. i think a 150 may be bogged down a little with 3-4 guys, full gear and gas. If you will be using the fish box for storage and not for your catch, think about where you will be putting your fish ice chest. That built in step/ fishbox takes up a lot of room.

Got to defend my Kenner here :D...i have a 2016 Frontier 2104 (mabe by bill kenner at K2 marine) It is the same 21' 4" LOA as a 2200 bluewave. The full liner 2104 better compares to the bluewave pure bay. The Frontier hull is 1795lbs and the pure bay is 1700lbs. With the 2104's sharper "V" and extra weight of a full liner hull i know it would ride better than an older Kenner hull and Id put it right up there with any 22'

A 2200 is a bad *** boat. I just helped a buddy buy and rig out his with a 200 yammy. It will do everything you need it to do for coastal fishing. The 8'6" beam is nice (Frontier is 8'3")
Not sure of the 2200 w/ 200 speeds but since its close to my frontier's weight and i have the same f200 yamaha i would say it would do the same speeds: 53 mph @ 6000 rpms - 2 people loaded and 50mph 4 people loaded. My last 100 miles i averaged 4.5mpg with most of it at 46-48mph @ 5000 rpms
