fishing report 10/15/16

Havent caught good up north all year, and after my last trip south decided to try the north end one more time.
Caught pogies, and had a boat follow me to a spot and set up in my lap.
Bite started strong, and that boat moved off. Caught on pogies and lil jons from 8-1030, then bite stopped with the water movement. Same boat came back, had to wave him off. Got a couple flounder and moved south, but nada and no moving water.
Finished the day with best trip ive had all year it seems like. Probably couldve caught more but thankful for a good box and more than i could eat that day.

Fish seemed to be in a group just moving back and forth. Most had empty bellies, one actually had a shrimp in his mouth when i removed by lil jon.
Water was best ive seen, moon situation helped i believe. Hopefully fish turning on up north now.
Still welcoming any pointers as i learn how to find em.
Thanks guys.

nice work ahlangle! I knew u would get on em soon if kept trying. I got out late Saturday and put me at the end of out going tide and had three bites from 10-2 catching a rat red and small trout. Did not start catching til incoming tide started and it was on. I m glad to hear u caught them up north cause I was down south and on way back thought I could of caught in and around turners. Stay on em.

I'm also a firm believer in moving water. Had rather have out-going tide but will take either. I'm from the West Cote area.

Thanks guys. Outgoing seems to be the most effective up there.
Saw alot of boats going up to LC too.
Once it cools off, im guessing fishing up north means getting into the deep holes/ledges.
I'm busy with hunting stuff the next few weekends but will report what i find

You did better than me up north this week. I'm having to move around quite a bit picking up a few here and there. It won't be long and they'll be thick...better fish showing up too!http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...16fdac2e6a.jpg

Nicely done! You didn't miss anything south on Saturday (at least where I was... in Dink City). Probably caught 10 unders for every keeper
