Endangered Miss trout

Headed out early Thursday morning with the intention of fishing N side of Lake P near Slidell. When I arrived it was steady 12mph NE winds and way to rough for my yak. Decided to keep going across the State line to a protected bayou in Mississippi. Was a good choice as the trout had moved way up stream and were schooling up on bait moving out of the marsh. Caught a limit of trout 15, and went looking for reds. Caught many reds but all in the 16"-17" range, no keepers. Miss limit on reds 3x18" and trout 15x13". Cleaned some trout at the dock and used carcasses to catch a dozen nice crabs.

Oh...I thought there were anti-Trump protesters at the Speckled Trout Festival and this years Miss Trout was in harms way...my bad.
