From what I've gathered. Hebert's has shrimp, east side is fire. And the weirs are fire, and the jetis are fire, basically the whole lake is on fire right now.

Thanks. Got a room at spicers! Anyone know how early you have to be at Herbert's to get shrimp? Looks like little front coming in this week so may change things up. Really hoping to get on some big reds! Assuming weirs will be closed with duck season starting. May have to try jetties.

Wiers will be closed for duck season, Talked to guy at Heberts and he said they will have shrimp atleast one more week. I don't have much advice on fishing, last couple times I Went was slow only rat red for me and kids.

For big reds try the jetties at the pier fishing facility in Cameron. You can catch them on an incoming or high tide. Fresh cut mullet carolina rigged on the bottom with heavy gear.

Spicers will have plenty of live shrimp

Thought the closed the tackle shop down at the first of November. Will be in a boat and thought about the Jetties. Been a long time since I fished them. Probably try Turners for trout.
