I accually added a dumby string with a cork it slow the sinking down won't stop it from sinking but may buy a few seconds to get a net or someithing to my son's rod cause he's thrown 2 in trying to cast like daddy.

he added a string and a cork deal, so when his son's rod gets accidently thrown over board it doesn't sink as fast :)

Yeah in the military we used to dumby cord things to or uniforms so if it fell you wouldn't loose it, thats why I call my little invention a dumby cord. I took a small popping cork passed a piece of string thru it, and tied that tho the but of the pole, and yes it does get in the way at times, but it has saved his pole two or three times.
