Few Reds and Zero Trout

Another wasted day on the water. Its just not happening for us right now! Water temp around 54 degrees and other than a few reds there is nothing going on in lower Dularge. Talked with people all weekend that were skunked without a single fish being caught. One guy had 2 reds and thats it! The report from Craig at the big Nutria camp was 1 dead redfish and 1 garfish skeleton that he reeled in slow off the bottom in the Deer Bayou area. I don't plan on taking any charter trips until the fishing improves........just not worth it!

I went Monday capt Bill, launched at noon and fished all afternoon. water was around 54-55 degrees. Managed a couple small redfish and no trout. I did see a dazed and confused trout swimming near the surface. i tapped it on the head with my swimbait and it didnt even flinch. I hope the fishing down in the DU improves soon!
