What model battery charger and how many banks?

goldenrod 03-08-2010 11:11 AM

it is the xps 10amp 2 bank from bass pro

How is it connected to the 110 power? Do you have a plug on the boat or is it still just the plug loose from the charger itself? I would say check the fuses on the leads to the batteries but odd both would act up. I would check the plug in first.

i did check plug and changed all fuses and still get the same results just blinking power light

Sea-Trac Offshore 03-08-2010 12:21 PM

Sounds like an internal problem then. Is it still under warranty?

Clean your battery connections w/ wire brush & hit lead terminals with some sand paper. Just takes on bad connection to screw up the whole system.

My onboard had one bank doing the same thing.....cleaned connections up, started working...

goldenrod 03-08-2010 12:47 PM

thanks i hope it works

Wag 03-08-2010 12:58 PM

It could also be a short in the wire somewhere...like on a fuse holder

While you are there at the batteries put some dielectric greases on the connections. Will save headaches with corosion buildup
