PS3 Question
 

My PS3 was working fine during the week but when I went to use it yesterday I couldn't get a picture to come up on my tv. I made sure the HDMI cable was good by using it with my dvd player, also used the same HDMI port on the tv and that was good. Anybody else ever encounter this problem? The machine powers up fine, just nothing ever displays on the tv. I'm thinking that maybe the HDMI port went out on the PS3? Just wondering if anybody else has seen this before.

I would try unplugging, if that doesnt work you might be screwed, is there a yellow light on the console?

Yea, the light to the left of the wireless connection light flashes yellow every now and then.

Well that just blows!!! One time I left my console on for a couple days but that was it. I turn it off after I'm done playing every time now :pissed:. I ain't sweatting it though, it's only 3 months old plus I bought the 2 year extended warranty for it so they better not even try to jack me around and try to get any money out of me.

wow thats sucks...I better keep an eye on mine...I usually use it for blu ray anyway. Time to send her off eh?

Yea I made a support ticket on it yesterday, just waiting on the shipping box to get to my house. I just read up on it some more and the "yellow light of death" isn't the yellow light that I'm getting. I talked to a guy here at the office that has the same ps3 as me and he said that he has always had the same yellow light that I'm getting, I guess I just never noticed it. It just seems as though the HDMI port has gone out for some reason, I'm gonna bring it to GameStop tomorrow so they can test it before I send it off (they test them for free).

Mine crapped out the other day too. It won't read discs anymore. I think u can send them back to Sony.

I should have never switched from PS3 to Xbox 360, first week I got the good old red ring of death. I actually sold my 360 the other day to get a ps3 in a week or two. Ill have to get all of yalls s/n so we can play MW2 when I do get another one.
