How was your day?
Those of you who know me, know that I run SFA when I'm off duty from my full-time job as a Firefighter/EMT. So I just wanted to give some of you a chance to see my typical "day at the office".
This is just after lunch today. http://www.houmatoday.com/article/20...et-gas-station |
Wow...you need a cold one!
|
I bet the gas station workers were pulling some butt muscles when they saw that fire.
|
The report said the fuel nozzle was "stuck on" when he selected his grade. Sounds like the person before him locked the nozzle "on", probly paid for $5 of gas, and then left it locked "on" as the pennies counted down.
Usually those nozzles automatically "unlock" when the tank is filled up. Sounds like the pump kicked on before the guy got a chance to stick the nozzle in the tank. Very dangerous. |

houmatoday.com has a photo gallery of the fire. It wasn't bad when we got there, then the fire burned through the fuel line and the propane line. Thats when all heck broke loose. |
