16 lb. Bass

Texas angler Keith Burns was practicing for a benefit tournament Saturday (March 20) on Lake Caddo when he caught the biggest bass of his life – a 16.17-pound giant that could break the Louisiana state record if it's eligible to enter in the record books.

That state record is in question because he took the fish out of the lake on the Texas side.

Probably not because there has been a 16lber come out of toledo bend but was taken out of the texas side and the state record is still 15 something

That's a pretty anal rule yeah? What if a fish migrated from the Texas side of Toledo? LOL does that mean it's a Texas fish caught on the Louisiana side...or should it be which side the bass spawned on that would make it a Texan or Cajun?
