fishinpox 03-29-2010 08:42 PM

Reel Bender 03-29-2010 08:45 PM

it doesn't have the same look as the haynie, console, transom, lines are different. the bottom pic is a haynie ls

top two are trans ls, interesting design with the notched/pocket tunnel with a pad keel for high end, but can still get skinny. the short console/curved up transom must be the tournament model. be a good wadin bote.

im guessing them boats wouldn't do good in big lake. seems like your feet might get wet. at least this weekend they would have

Bottom pic is W at launch in west cove.

they run those low sides in bays a lot rougher than big lake.

The bote we fished out of in south Texas didn't have any sides. It was rough that day but it held it's own in the chop...at 60 mph.

that is my boat.

haynie 23LS. console is cut down, but not as far as most of the other 23LS's. wanted to keep the seat on front.

i think the boat at the top may be the 20ft tran xlr8 / 300xs that was out in front of tran's shop in palacios for a while, though i'm not 100% sure.

EDIT: i don't think the boat i'm thinking of (above) had a grab rail on the console, like the one pictured.

you got a sweet boat. how fast does she run? Faster than 64 mph?

offshore ag 03-30-2010 01:12 PM

best we have seen is 68.1 with a 27 fury...2 people, half tank, 4 batteries, and some other misc stuff. every day top end probably in the 65-66mph range. it definately isnt the fastest 23LS out there, but we would not have gone with the 'zuk if top end were the main concern.
