Since I don't throw hay balers and don't know anyone that's uses the CI, I really can't help ya there. This reel looks like a spinning version of the Shimano Core...sharp-lookin' reel. It should do well in saltwater since there is nothing that will rust. Is it worth $200.........don't know.

I know several guys that have them. They have had them for about 6 months now and 1 of the guys are a yak fisherman. So far so good. They are very lite weight but will handle the large fish. If you have the money they are a great addition.

700 bucks for a spinning reel is just insane,I will stick with the stratic

We got one two years ago and its still holding up, we don't use it much more of a back up reel. The bail is the only con. I see on the Stradic it's hard to click over, but over all a good reel.

I concur

Dat's a lot of bones for a reel for sure........

But I used one with Marsh Rat guide service (after I begged) and it is really sweet.......

200 would be my max

This reel he's referring to just came out last year. This is not the old Stradic.
