spinning reels

How in the hell do you keep a spinning reel from twisting up the line? Tried several ways and still no luck

Make sure you're putting the string on the same way it came off the spool.

The twisting happens when spooling the reel. DO NOT allow the line to unwind off the top of your fill spool. Clockwise or counter......I doubt it matters.

Use braid.....problem solved

did

I did unwind it off the side. Then let it out behind the boat to "untwist" that seemed to work, but by the end of the day it was all twisted again.

Are you throwin' a bait that, without a swivel, will twist the line......sand eel, maybe?

You may have to run it out behind the boat again. Isn't it amazing how much drag there is on just line behind the boat? If you are catching fish that pull drag or if you are reeling and the drag is working such that you are not retrieving line you are twisting the line. Of course it could be that your bait is twirling, not likely unless it is a spoon. Redfish and catfish like to roll a lot when hooked.

Was throwing a wacky worm. May end up with braid.
