top water, broken rods, straightened hooks!!
 
me and waterbowl went to fourchon today got there before the sun came up found reds, big reds that liked top water, marsh works spinner baits and gulp. only had 2-3 fish under 27" . we broke 500.00 bucks worth of rods(2) today. i hooked up to a red that straightened a jig head ( should have been using the marsh works bull red jh's) we even got to tag a few. heres the video for yall to watch. Sweet, we got into the kings and spanish on top one time, and the casualty rate for the tackle was very high. Them big reds are hell on top-water rods.

naw i broke a st.croix tourney ledgend slingin a 10-12 lb red into the boat w/o a net:work: . had to have the drag a lil tighter than normal cuz of the pilings them fuggers kept tryin to run back in em . honstly i could care less about lossing the fish im pissed about breaking a 250 dollar rod like a dumbarse though

Stop grabbin' the rod 2' above the handle and it won't break.......dumazz.

Sweet video.. You should call that show (Mike and Mike in the morning) if that hasnt been taken...Waterbowl does everything with that spinning gear, even topwater....Hey Mike, thanks again for those baits you hooked me up with at the tourney, I used some yesterday.

Hey Mamba I hope you did well with the baits, let me know what colors worked. As far as spinning, with the 20 MPH winds I didn't want to pull out birds nest all day like someone that was cursing on the boat lol. Like I told you I can do anything with spinning that someone can do with bait. Pox caught a fish on a bait caster then I caught a bigger one lol. Pox broke a rod on a fish then I broke one on a fish. I didn't want him to feel bad lol. It was a great day and i left about 5 red fish with lip jewelry for them to remember me.

Don't be bustin on Johnny Knots about his shakiness. We had a good day with some spectacular situations. Heck we had to release as many fish as we caught due to size. It was a good time and if the dang weather man could learn what 25 mile an hour wind is then the day would have been better.
