thats sweet dude! only time i freshwater fish is ponds around my house and all i throw is watermelon red baby brush hawgs. Awesome guide for a rook though!

Looks pretty good. The only thing I use different is a 1/32 weighted hook with my flukes. It helps it fall through grass better and also adds more wobble/flutter when sinking.
Maybe add a trick worm or senko rigged weightless or wacky style with a falcon hook with the weed guard.

i used a weighted hook before but the position of the weight on the hook made it go forward to fast. I like mine to sink just a little forward but mostly down. My cousin uses weighted hooks too though. I've always fished it weightless.
i might add a little something like that. Just want to keep it to the bare basics for him. Senkos take a good bit of patience sometimes

Yeah, senkos and jigs take alot of patience. Pretty much pitch let it sink once then reel it back in unless you use the senko on a Carolina rig.

yep yep! Big fish baits too. but my friend isn't that patient i don't think. He just wants to go out have a few drinks and fish a little not a lot. I'm the opposite
