I did my own. I used the "Keel Guard" brand sold at West Marine. It stuck to the hull great, however the glue of the guard is staying put but the layers are separating. Easy to do though only took about 45 min. You'll need scotchbite pads and acetone.

my keel guard fell off 1 month after installed, and i followed the directions very close, dont know what happened, still have some of the glue attached too the bottom needless to say im not a believer

Fish911.......
Send an email/PM to RAKEDLAKE, he put one on his boat 3-4 years ago and it is still holding up well!

I put one on my old boat and it held very well. The hard part is around the chimes. Try to get your hands on a heat gun to soften the rubber so it shill be easier to work with.

I had to pull the old one off and install the new one. Pulling old one off was way harder than putting new one on. If you follow the instructions you shouldn't have any problem. Having two people to put new one on is a must.
