There are a lot of people who like the Laguna rods. I think there are more who like Waterloo. Laguna seemed to be a lot more popular before they started having rods built over seas for there inshore series. In my opinion Waterloo make the best custom rod on the market. I just picked up my 6'9" HP Slam Mag w/ Recoil Guides last Wednesday and got to fish the shootout with it. I got it custom wrapped to match my Core and it came out looking exactly how I wanted.
