[billystix custom rods]

now let billystix add some thought this thread, i have read each thing posted and most likley over the years i have tried each thing that you all have done.
now the one thing that no body has given thought to , a rod in the stand up postion in your boat "yes it will fly out trees and such also tangle"
but here is a thought that no body has ever given thought to and i as the rod builder i know a little about ""rod stress"" traviling down the highway 6o to 80 mph guess how much whip and whip and whip and whip you put on your custom billystix at that speed or your other rods then when you are out fishing one day and you pick up your favorite rod with #60 or#30 and you go to make a long hard cast or you go up and set a hard set ""snap"" yep you guessed it dam, frigginnn wortheless rod broke the first cast wonder why stress on the roasd and over rated line test for said rod.
now i am not trying to preach but it is a fact that i learned many years ago, a rod will whip itself to pcs in a stand up postion in a traveling boat and then i hear " aw man i take dang good care of my equipt and yes you do take good care of your equipt, but you just failed to know that you placed your valuable equipt in harms way by traviling down the highway at 60 to 80 with that rod whiping in the wind putting undo and unnatural stress on said rod.
just some good rod advice from the rod man.
