this law is effective july 1, 2010
lake charles sail and power squadron decided last night to have another class before the deadline of july 1, 2010. They are looking at may 22nd, which is the first weekend of national safe boating week.
No formal announcement has been made, but i was in the meeting when they decided on a date. So get ready. The classes may be pretty full since it is close to the deadline.
They are going to make announcements in the newspapers and kplc tv. Registration can be done at ship to shore on lake st. Or at the email in the following website:
