Default Vermillion Bay 4-4

Well, my "better-half" and the in-laws decided to make a trip to marsh island for some quality family time on Easter Sunday. It turned out to be a great trip. Amanda caught her FIRST "bull red" and we ended up catching about 25 solid fish.

The water in the bay is horrible but marsh island is not too bad in spots. Try to find some moving water near a deep channel but the key is to have cover near by (submerged grass, reeds, pilings...etc). Keep at it, the fish are there. I examined each stomach of the four fish we kept. Every one was completely empty with just a small bit of residue. The only thing I could make out in one was a piece of crab shell. The water temperatures will continue to rise and the bite will keep getting better.

Good Luck...
