yep, I dug into it early this AM, It wouldn't release. so I removed the pump connections and can cross over the battery and can control the lift and drop. I'm going fishing this weekend and will order the relay next week. Thanks for the input wttrievers.

I've had this problem more than once, One time was while trying to put the boat on the trailer & motor would not trim up with a bad storm breathing down my neck & 25 others behind me waiting! Ended up pulling relay & cutting the eye & point of a hook bent it & used the hook as a jumper
I now keep a spare relay vaccum sealed in my console.
