I always wondered what happened to Lagniappe, that place has a camp ground set up for the event.People would come from all over the US to attend. I am sure it was a huge money maker for the parish.

I took a boy from Ohio there, bought him a seafood plater with some alligator on it. He ate the while platter, then asked what he was eating by picking up the gator. He said it was the best the chicken ever. I told him it was gator, but bout spit it out. Then he sucked it up and realized, it was just in his Yankee mind.
