They are great rods. They cast well, they feel good, they look good, they hold up well.
When I need one, I have Billy's number programed in my cell phone.
If anyone ever wants to test one out, let me know.
I have 2 each 6'6" spiral casting rods, med. light for light jig heads and soft plastics.
2 each 7' spiral casting rods, med. heavy for plugs, topwater and jerk baits.
1 each 8' spinning rod, med. light, that my brother in law got me for surf fishing.
1 each 7' spinning rod, med. light(for me).
1 each 7' spinning rod, med. heavy(for my wife).
My brother in law has 3 Stix rods, 1 each 7' spinning, med. light and 2 offshore spiral rods, one heavy for bottom fishing, the other is lighter and more flexible for big Reds but we use it for Snapper and Kings.
My wife caught a 35 lb. King on it last month, on 25 lb. test in 120 ft. of water. Talk about fun to watch in action. Her sister tried to get some footage of it twice, but my wife started talking like a sailor the whole time she was fighting it. Trash talk and all.
