IMO
First catch the male, he will usually hit anything....then chunk his a$$ as far as you can.
Now the female, she will not typically act like the male. She will continuously make circles, checking the bed every minute or so. When she does come by make sure you have something bright laying on the nest, usually I use bright lizards or flukes. In the marsh I like to get far enough away from the bed to where I can barely see my bright lure. Being that most females usually pick it up and blow it off the nest, it is best to set the hook when that bright lure disappears.
