Default 7/17/2011 out of Mermentau

Well we left out of Mermentau yesterday morning with intentions of running about 50-60 miles out to hustle up a few snapper and try and find some 3tail, dolphin, and cobia. We got 15 miles out and one of the motors decided to die. We have fought this problem before, the motor would cool down and then crank back up normally and we could get about 10-15 miles and it would die again. Well this time after it cooled down we only went 2 miles and it shut down. So we turned back and decided to head in. Before we headed straight for the launch we stopped at a nearby rig and threw out the lines and made a few trolls by and murdered some good size 3-5lb spanish. We could have filled the boat up with them. Left there and started our limping process home. Water was actually pretty nice about 15 miles out.
