One day an 80 yo woman shows up in court charged with theft. The judge, trying to understand why an 80 yo woman is stealing, asks her why?. She says she was hungry and broke so she stole a can of peaches. The judge, wanting to be understanding of her circumstances and lenient, asks her how many peaches were in the can. She said "6" so the judge said, "Ok, 6 days in jail should teach you a lesson."
Just before the judge hammers his gavel, the woman's husband stands up and asks to speak on behalf of his wife. The judge said "sure' and the husband says: "Your honor, she also stole a commercial size can of sweet peas!"....
