Default FYI

Just FYI from someone who used to be in the business. As dink explained, there are currently NO vehicles in production that can be opened with a slim jim without causing damage to the vehicle. Most vehicles have vertical shielded linkages and some even have bicycle style cables which are shielded at the door latch and lock assembly. Unless you are a locksmith or in law enforcement, it could very well pose an issue should an investigation take place due to an incident. It is un-needed liability on your part for either damage to property civily or potential criminal investigation. Most professional kits are meant for binding linkages and manipulating vertically. A lot of vehicles require in the door techniques or what we called swan tools which would go under a window and inside the vehicle to manipulate a lock or switch. Back in the day, slim jims used to open any car and still today, SOME locksmiths with years of experience have the ability to still open vehicle with them, but the probability of damage is almost certain. Just my .02!
