Baseball and Beach
Did the baseball thing for a week and the beach thing for another week. Boys came home with a Runner-Up in the World Series. Beaches were very nice and got a little fishing in too. Stayed at Phoenix IX right on the beach (one block from FloraBama). Had a corner room with wrap around balcony that gave us a view of the Bay across the street also.
Shaw, here are some things we did along with some tips:
Take the Foley Express Tollway off of 59 goin into Gulf Shores (this will save you some time. Traffic on 59 is always packed. Lots of redlights)
Ate at all of these- LuLu's (on the Intracoastal), Tacky Jack's, The Hangout (live music nightly) , Lamberts (home of the throwed rolls. Good home cookin. Get there by 11:00 for lunch or expect to wait).
Rode the Karts with the kids at The Track.
Rented waverunners in the Bay
Dolphin Tour (make reservations)
