There was some discussion a while back about a dog at five months being able to handle an easy duck hunt.
Here is a video of Quaid at four months (on the 23rd) he is honoring heal, not breaking and land, water, land retrieve.
He is NOT perfect, but we are getting there.
We ARE shooting over him BUT NOT a shot gun yet, just a 22.
We limit him to five retrieves a day, on different places on the property.
We work him on leash in the morning, I come home for lunch and spend five minutes or so working him off leash, sit, stay and here stuff.
