Went to grand Isle friday night and fished saturday morning till about 11am brought my fiance for the first time fishing out of a boat so i wanted her to have a good time and first spot we stopped was elmers island infront of the old cut that was there before the bp spill happened. but anyway, the day ended with 12 trout and 3 reds.the biggest speck was a 15" but it was fun and she enjoyed it. between baiting her cork with a shrimp i was throwing my topwater and got a few good hits there too.
