House is three years old and can't use the fireplace at all. Rep has been to the house three times and they changed the top on it 2 times. This unit was bought locally and installed by the same people. They suggested doors so I bought them. Closed, it did fine, but the minute I opened them up the house filled up with smoke. In my living room and bed room fireplaces I have gas logs. We don't use them much because of having young kids in the house but they work good when we do fire em up. Just doesn't have the same smell as a wood burner.
