The iPhone works the same on all carriers, besides being able to do voice and data at the same time on AT&T. All the android phones work similar to each other, but there are generally some differences. Lots of android manufacturers like HTC and Motorolad put their custom skins on android phones so the might have a different look. Best thing to do is read lots of reviews and spend a lot of time in the store playing with phones.
