Yep CajunChristian knows a thing or two.
Back in the fast boat days, we changed or at least took a peek at our reeds once a year.

Think about it, two strokes are big weedeater motors, them things have to BREATH and move gas to move oil to lubricate everything.

Boysens fiber reeds was always a great choice in my opinion and well worth the bones relative to sucking a metal reed and having a motor hand grenade on you
