Like Dink said, you have a leak in one of your seals. Probably the shaft input seal. If it is a fill screw or drain screw, it would leak on the other side of the lower unit. It is possible, the lower unit was over serviced and has too much oil in it. With the motor down, remove the upper screw and see if any oil flows out. If it continues to leak, you will have to drop the lower unit and remove the water pump to get to the seal. I just did mine on Saturday. Not too tough if you are mechanically inclined. I had problems removing the drive key for the impeller from the shaft. Had to drill and grind it out with a dremel, but it was rusted in pretty good. Good luck.
