Catfish
I love going out at night Catfishing. The problem has been finding good fishing spots. I just bought my boat so am still very green on local waters. I stay in the Denham Springs area and have fished False river at flats and shell bed. We have caught fish there but that are all small. I have fished the Amite river putting in at Pete's landing at bayou barber with no luck at all. Any pointers or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am not asking for your spot, just a nudge in the right direction would be awesome. We tighline on bottom with night crawlers , shrimp , cutup bream , and chicken livers. Would love to get into some 2 or 3 pound catfish, not looking for trophy fish. I have no problem driving a hour or two to hit a good spot. Thanks in advance for any advise.
