Launched, caught finger mullet and shrimp in the canal, dodged the damn crab traps and headed to my favorite oyster reef. Water was stained and a strong west wind is my best excuse. Nothing. Even with live bait. Last week my son and I stroked the big trout and a few reds just south of bird Island close to the mouth of Oyster bayou, but Sat. they didnt want to eat. Ended up with a few little reds and a giant sheepy. Gonna go again Friday.
