To catch fish, yes. the draw down could be a good thing. If I were you I would not change plans.

The lake is basically a boat lane, which is normally 12-14ft deep and every wheres else is a huge flat that is 7- 9 ft.( north) and 5-6ft(south) There is more cover in that lake than you know what to do with. Lots of places for fish to hide that are inaccessible. With the draw down it could get interesting. Low fishing pressure, cooler weather, fish getting forced out of their normal hiding spots may make it more favorable for the fisherman.
I've seen some extremely nice fish come out of that lake in the fall time.

Stay in middle of boat lane when you run and you will be ok. every wheres else is stump city.

Just not too wild about grass carp. They need to leave that lake alone for a few years.
