I have a BJ and a Lowrance Elite 5 with the Transducer that was originially mounted on the transom. I HATE the way it looks, but live and learn when you don't give specific directions. Anyway, the location on the transom was just above the Tunnel. It never worked worth at flip while running. I moved it to inside the tunnel with the hopes of remaining submerged while running. I have used it once since relocating it and the performance is much, much better.
BTW, welcome to
the club. You will love the boat. My only regret is I didn't get a "Seafoam" like Lavocat.....but my wife got a great deal on our "Grey and Black".
