Were you fishing shallow? I seen a red and white Skeeter fishing shallow at the bridge a couple days. We were in 15 to 20 ft at daylight, then moved to 40 ft after that bite stopped.
Lake Charles Tackle and Tackle Shop in Sulphur has Jerk Jr.'s.
One of us fishes 1/8 oz. and the other 1/4 oz. Yellowmouth lead heads.
Which ever one works best, we both go to.
Every day the fish change up here. We never do good on the same spot 2 days in a row.
