I just got a poly Riceland call for Christmas. Took it hunting Saturday in the rain and cold and it didn't stick but I didn't care for the sound. I was in a layout and it was difficult to use both hands to call, so I just switched back to my Chien. People claim the wood calls sound better but I don't know. I know I didn't personally care for the sound I was producing with it. But it didn't stick.
