How I see it... If your out at 2-3am nothing good can come from it
If your on someone property breaking into someone private owned thing , you should prepare for the consequences !
Would I shoot at someone in my truck??? Yes all 30 rounds!!
If you take the chance to steal or rob someone you take the chance to pay!!
Its not yours so leave it alone and you will never ever never have to worry about getting shot for stealing !!
