We caught a ton of fish that day and he kept pace with my friend and I who use higher end rods. I know that quality of graphite, number of guides, etc.... dictate sensitivity but it isn't necessary to catch fish. Spend that extra money on gas!

To each his own....I don't buy custom to get a pretty rod with glitter. I like them cause I can choose the blank,reel seat,guides,ect. Not to mention it is pretty cool to build your own rod. So far I built 2 spinning rods bout to do the first baitcaster. You can build a quality rod for less than you can get it off the shelve and it's junk from china.
