That's part of the crazy equation that goes into the credits system. PMs, Classified ads, picture posting (except in the Fishing Reports forum), etc. (actions that don't have a positive effect on the forum) cost you money. Posting (especially reports), referring new members, etc. (actions that have a positive effect) all gain you money.
