hell my wife hides it from me all the time just to piss me off. I use the TV in the livingroom and her the bedroom. But I have found a way around this. Last time she did it she couldnt remember where she put it so she had to go to cox and get another one. Well they didnt charge her so now everytime I go by the place I pick one up. I have 4 on standby. So she is SOL on that idea now.
