Missourri Falls is part if the Eagle Rock Loop in Oua****a National Forest in arkansas. It is a 26 mile loop with pretty tough climbs and river crossings which get dangerous when the river level is high. This was the first serious hike that I went on and when I got to the top of the first of six climbs I knew I was in over my head.

I hiked the loop in the spring earlier this year. It is a 3 day two night hike. One of the most extreme things I have ever done.

Missourri Falls trail took about one day and it was by far the easiest part of the loop. There was no climbing and you followed the Missourri River the whole time so it was easy to not get lost.

There are some river crossings on this trail so be sure to bring some crocs or flip flops so you dont get your hiking shoes wet. Being wet really brings down your moral when you are hiking 9 hours a day. That being said it rained on us from the time we hit the trail until we stopped to make camp the SECOND night. Ever try to light a campfire in the rain?

It was a great experience and I highly recommend it. We saw deer, turkey, and beautiful streams along the entire trip.

The equipmemt can be expensive to get started. if you get serious about planning a trip let me know. Im sure you can borrow some of my gear. Its still in the same spot that I put it when I got back from my first trip....

I have some pictures of the waterfalls, campsites, and trails I will post when I get to my laptop.
