FlagUS WWII Vets going to DC

My wife, Kelly Friday Hudson, pinned this statement this morning;
My grandfather, may he rest in peace, was a HERO. He was human, with a few flaws, but he was a HERO when he fought in WWII in the south Pacific in the US Navy, and he was a Hero every day for the rest of his life. Just ask anyone in his family. If he were alive today - he would be buying his own plane ticket to Washington DC. No one would stop him from visiting the Memorial if he chose to do s...o. He was remarkable; but he did not stand out in his peer group, because in that time American produced millions of remarkable men and women. If you knew one of those HEROES, please pass this on, and please let your elected officials know just how low our country has sunk based on the recent treatment of WWII veterans at the WWII memorial. Mr. President - if not for my grandfather, your beloved Hawaii, where you enjoy those expensive vacations - would be a Japanese territory. Respectfully, the elder granddaughter of John Thomas Bridges.

I thought it was great and wanted to share,
thank you for reading it,
"H"
