Wed was our last day fishing, filling the big cooler with redfish, drum, sheepshead, and one whiting. Spent the day Thu cleaning fish. When the weather turned sour on Fri, we headed back to BR with a cooler full of fillets from our efforts. We had been running a bit low on fish in the freezer, but I am now told that we can expect fish on the menu 2-3 times a week through the winter.
I'd say that was finishing on a good note. We also picked up a 12' Ugly Stick at Walmart and I'm looking for a good Shimano spinning reel to add to it for a surf fishing rig now that we've seen what you are doing with just a bit more reach than we could manage.
