CRACK FOUND IN A BOX OF CRACKERS
An Abbeville man is facing drug charges after deputies say they found crack in a cracker container.
According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon and Chief Tony Hardy, the Vermilion / Municipal task force made the arrest following undercover operations within the parish.
Tuesday night, agents executed a search warrant at a home located at 1005 Godcheaux Street in Abbeville. Agents say they found Floyd Harris III in possession of marijuana, and a K-9 dog helped them find several rocks of crack cocaine in a small Ritz Cracker container. The container allegedly had a false bottom to it where the drugs were hidden.
Harris was charged with possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
