Sold my 29' SeaVee last summer and bought a bay boat. The SeaVee had twin 225 Opti's with 850+ hrs each. I ran the dog snot out of them about 25% of the time and fast cruise the remainder (35kts+ if less than 4ft seas). The only trouble we had was caused by a water leak in a coolant line that corroded an electrical connection but was caught before major calamity (happened year 7/10 IIRC) and a funny quirk in the throttle control that would not sense neutral on occasion. I would not hesitate to buy a boat with one on the back.
