Doesn't seen to strain at all, on most overpasses it won't even drop a gear and getting onto the interstate is much easier with this truck. Btw straight interstate @ 70 and no wind you can keep your mileage right around 20mpg with this truck, but who really does that. That was at 70 from Opelousas to I10
